The GIF is excited to be co-hosting the upcoming Geospatial Analytics for International Development Symposium and Workshop (Geo4Dev) on September 6-7th. This is a two-day symposium and workshop focused on the application of remote sensing and geospatial analysis to address issues of poverty, sustainable development, urbanization, climate change, and economic growth in developing countries. Geo4Dev aims to expand the reach of remote sensing to faculty, graduate students, implementers, donors, and tech companies involved in research on international development. Day 1 will launch with a symposium showcasing scientific presentations and posters from a multitude of disciplines. Day 2 will feature a geospatial data workshop, providing introductory training from academics and tech-sector partners in the use of new tools, data, and platforms for geospatial analytics.
